Will Virtual Cocaine Dealers Break Ethereum?

Posted by Kurt Braget on May 22, 2018

Today I discovered a game called Ether Cartel.

You can’t make this shit up.

Ether Cartel allows people to trade and buy fake kilos of cocaine, on the blockchain. Check out it out here: https://ethercartel.com/

Sounds kinda funny… cocaine on da blockchain.

Disclaimer I don’t support drugs but I do support funny ass games online, especially ones that use the blockchain.

A quote from their site:

"Ether Cartel is an idle game on the blockchain based on "Ether Shrimp Farm". The more kilos you have, the more drugs they produce (each kilo produces at a rate of 1 per day). Collect more kilos with your drugs to multiply your production, or cash them out for Ethereum!"

And some examples of how low budget (i.e. pretty cool) they are:

Crypto Kitties 2.0

We all know that Crypto Kitties broke Ethereum before. There were just way too many problems with scalability.

Now there are all these kilos of virtual cocaine to move around. And trust me, this shit isn’t going to move itself.

Get to work boys.

My prediction: virtual cocaine cartels are going to break Ethereum next.

It’s going to be glorious.

Either cocaine cartels or virtual shrimp growth and trading.

Kevin and I got together and had a little chat about it Ether Cartel, and some other random stuff. You’re welcome to watch it, but please be nice, we are just testing out this crappy studio I built in my kitchen.

This marks the first episode of something we are calling Crypto News by White Rabbit. We want to present all the insider stuff we are exposed to while mopping the floors of the cryptoverse.

Please subscribe to our channel, we promise it will eventually be good, and we are open to suggestions!
